May all men make use of the holy scriptures?
All men are not only permitted, but commanded and exhorted to read, hear, and understand the holy scriptures.

- John 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
- John 17:17-18 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
- Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
- Acts 8:30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

The other online text I found (reformedreader.org) is the Spurgeon-era version, a different wording, so it could not be used to check this one. Not yet proofread against a scanned original. Scripture proof texts are the King James Version, from the public-domain Project Gutenberg edition, added with tools/add_kjv.py. A few references could not be matched to verses (whole-chapter references such as ‘Genesis 1 throughout’, and typing slips in the source) and are shown without text.
