Confessional Reformed

Trustees and faculty are documented as subscribing to a Reformed confession (the Westminster Standards, the Three Forms of Unity or similar).

Points to weigh

  • Denominational seminary: it is closely tied to the RPCNA, whose worship is exclusive psalmody without instruments; confirm what this means for students and faculty with the seminary.
  • Its emphasis is pastoral: all professors have significant field experience in the church and it uses the motto ‘Study under pastors’.
  • Its graduates serve churches of many denominations, though most are pastors and preachers, according to the seminary.
  • Financial aid (institutional scholarships, a 100% match of contributions up to 50% of tuition and a church match up to 33%) is for master’s-level students only, and the seminary does not take part in federal student loan programs.

Classification and points to weigh are reformededucation.org's judgments from the sources listed below. They describe and do not endorse; confirm current details with the institution.
